DEMAC in Geneva

12.11.2015 Presentation of the DEMAC project to international Stakeholders in Geneva, 12-14 August 2015

Mingo Heiduk and Béatrice Mauconduit, DEMAC team members from DRC diaspora programme, were in Geneva on 12-14 August 2015 to present the DEMAC project to different stakeholders in Geneva. They met representatives from ICVA, UNHCR, ECHO, IOM, and the World Humanitarian Summit Secretariat.


A round table "lessons learned from DRC’s Diaspora Programme, supporting diaspora-led initiatives and exploring modalities of diaspora engagement in development and emergency response" was also organised with Carsten Staur, Denmark’s Ambassador to UN in Geneva, Axel Küchle, Counsellor Political Section Humanitarian Affairs, Int. Humanitarian Law for the Permanent Mission of the Federal Republic of Germany in the Office of the United Nations Geneva, and Cecilia Nilsson, Permanent Mission of Sweden in Geneva.

The DEMAC project has received very positive feedbacks from all the stakeholders. They all showed interest to participate to the DEMAC Advisory Board.
