This course offers a comprehensive overview of WASH in humanitarian programming. Across the three days, speakers from the German WASH network and external experts will share approaches and technologies for water, sanitation and hygiene provision in humanitarian crisis settings. Participants can expect to learn:

• Core WASH concepts, humanitarian principles, relevant minimum standards, including Sphere.
• Technical and non-technical intervention options for water supply, sanitation and hygiene promotion in emergency settings.
• Key considerations for WASH assessment, response planning and context-appropriate technology selection.
• Global WASH coordination structures and critically reflect on practical examples from humanitarian responses.

This course is best suited for humanitarian practitioners with several years of professional experience. Classes will be taught in Bochum, Germany, and the language of instruction is English. The cost of the course is €550,00.
