Burmese Association of Western Australia (BAWA)

BAWA is the oldest and largest (300 members) Burmese community organization in Western Australia. It was formed in 1965 and incorporated in 1969 to assist new migrants and refugees who had arrived from Burma. Additionally, they provide charitable support and funds for needy orphanages in Burma to help meet essential needs. The funds include establishing livestock, poultry and agricultural farming projects.
